1. Introduction

Welcome to MindMatch ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our platform at mindmatchonline.com (the "Platform").

Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Who We Are

MindMatch is operated by Edward Frame, based in Sydney, Australia. We can be contacted at hello@mindmatchonline.com.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically

3.3 Information We Derive

3.4 Sensitive Information

Some of the information we collect — including gender, religious beliefs, and ethnicity — may be considered "sensitive information" under the Australian Privacy Act 1988. We collect this information only with your consent, given when you complete your profile, and use it solely to generate matches and personalise your experience on the Platform. You may decline to provide non-mandatory sensitive information; however, certain fields (such as gender) are required to use core features of the Platform.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

5.1 With Other Users

5.2 With Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform:

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

5.4 Business and Investment Purposes

We may use aggregated and anonymised data derived from feedback survey responses and waitlist signups (such as total counts, response trends, and general sentiment) for internal business purposes, including to demonstrate market interest to current or prospective investors and business partners. This aggregated data does not identify you individually.

6. Reporting, Investigations and Account Review

MindMatch allows users to report or remove other users they interact with on the Platform.

Reporting

If you report another user, we will review the account in question, which may include their profile, messages, and other in-app activity relevant to the report. Where we confirm a violation of our Terms of Service, we may take action including issuing a warning, restricting the account's visibility, suspending it, or removing it from the Platform permanently.

When you submit a report, the reported user is automatically removed from your potential matches and connections. This removal cannot be reversed by you, as it is tied to the report you have submitted.

Removing a profile

Separately, you may choose to remove a specific profile from your own potential matches at any time, without submitting a report. This is a private action — the removed user is not notified, and the choice does not trigger a review of their account. You can view and reverse profiles you've removed at any time through your account Settings.

Retention

We retain records of reports, and of profiles you have chosen to remove, for as long as necessary for safety, moderation, and platform integrity purposes — including where no violation is ultimately found.

7. Data Storage and Security

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.
